David and I were introduced by our good friend Carolyn. Carolyn is a close family friend to David's family and like a second mom to him. Carolyn is a very good friend of mine, whom I met my first year teaching and a great mentor. During the fall of 2005, Carolyn asked if I would like to meet David. I of course said "sure", I was ALONE living in Long Beach, what else did I have to do? Carolyn asked me to meet her, her husband Jim and David at the Shelburne Pub on November 7th. I was "sort of" under the impression we would all be having dinner together. I soon found out that was NOT Carolyn's plan (she is quite tricky you see). Anyway... it was probably better that we were left to get to know one another alone.
We spent hours getting to know each other and had a wonderful evening. After that date, a week passed and I hadn't heard from David. Finally, with the help of "someone", David gave me a call. Our second date was a walk on the beach, how ROMANTIC. This was the day David introduced me to Blue. We walked from the Bolstad approach to the Seaview approach, all the while continuing to fall in love. It was a perfect date!
Soon we were seeing each other several times a week, then every day. By our first Valentine's Day, four months later, I knew I was going to spend the rest of my life with him. David sent me the most beautiful bouquet of flowers I had ever seen. Everyone at work was asking, "Who's the guy?"
That is how I met the love of my life. I couldn't imagine a more perfect man. I am so lucky to have found my soul mate. I love you David! I can't wait for the fun times ahead, you make every day a better day.
